A diary huh? A dumb idea to Daniel. He’d never wanted one, and definitely never understood the need for one. As each school year gets progressively more mentally and emotionally exhausting, he can’t help but come back to writing his most intimate thoughts inside as a lifeline; as somewhere to breathe and sort out his thoughts.
What does he write down? What doesn’t he? Not before long, a special girl, Kacee Gardner, barges in his life, seamlessly integrates herself in his friend group, and unexpectedly gives him the gift of love. He returns it every day he can, even though she might not deserve it… From the moment Kacee steps in his life, Daniel goes through emotional turmoil, good and bad, that has him stuck in his head, until everything implodes from the inside.
He does his best to clearly sort his feelings out in each entry he writes, but as he gets older, his feelings get more complex, and situations get greyer. Dive into Daniel’s diary, and trudge through each trial of life he, Kacee, and his friends face, together.
MEET The Illustrator
JASMINE GONZALEZ
I can't speak about this book without talking about Jasmine Gonzalez, my illustrator! The vision for this story always involved illustrations to add another layer of depth and enjoyment to Daniel's diary. Even when I didn't know what I was describing, Jasmine gave me EXACTLY what I was asking for, and then some. Jasmine deserves her credit for her art in this book and I can't thank her enough!
All the shown art in this section was created fully by her! Enjoy!
